Game Rules

1. Agreement to the Terms

By participating in the stock market game, you automatically agree to our terms and conditions and the game rules. These documents can be found on the website www.yeekatee.com and are valid in their current version.

2. Free Participation

Participation in the game is free and does not require the purchase of products or services. Participation is exclusively through the yeekatee app.

3. Game Period

The game takes place from June 3rd, 2024, at 01:00 CET until June 28th, 2024, at 23:00 CET (hereinafter referred to as the “Game Period”). Registrations are open from May 20th, 2024, to June 28th, 2024.

4. Eligibility for Participation

  • Only natural persons are eligible to participate.
  • Each person is allowed only one registration. Multiple accounts are prohibited.
  • Collaboration between participants is not permitted.

5. Eligibility for Winning

To be eligible for winning, participants must:

  • Be residents of Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Germany, Austria, UK, Ireland, Malta, Cyprus, Estonia, Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Portugal, Greece, Luxembourg, Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Croatia, or Spain.
  • Be at least 18 years old by the end of the Game Period.
  • Have logged into their account at least once and viewed their game portfolio.
  • Have agreed to the terms of participation.
  • Employees of yeekatee and their direct family members are excluded from winning.

Participants not meeting these criteria can participate in the game but are excluded from winning prizes.

6. Prize Money and Winner

As prize money, CHF 500 and two SmartPurse memberships will be transferred to the participant who achieves the highest percentage return (time-weighted return, TWR) in CHF with the game portfolio at the end of the game period.

As prize money, CHF 300 and a SmartPurse membership will be transferred to the participant who achieves the highest engagement value in the daily quiz bonus.

As prize money, CHF 200 and a ticket to a SmartPurse VIP event will be transferred to the participant who achieves the best “Sustainable” portfolio. The weighted ESG rating of the game portfolio is combined with the time-weighted return (TWR).

As prize money, CHF 100 and a SmartPurse prize will be transferred to the participant with the greatest support on Instagram social media.

For payouts in EUR or GBP, the current exchange rate at the time of payment will be used.

Results are rounded to two decimal places. In case of a tie among several participants, the prize money will be divided equally among them. In the event of a tie, each winner receives a SmartPurse membership.

The organizer will contact the winner by email. If yeekatee cannot contact a winner or confirm their eligibility for a prize within 14 days after the award, they may decide at their discretion to award the prize to the participant with the next best result.

Participants are responsible for any taxes or charges that may apply to the prize money. The organizer is not liable for such liabilities.

7. Game Mechanics

  • Starting Capital: Each player starts with a capital of 100,000 Swiss Francs.
  • Investment Universe: About 1,000 common and liquid stocks and 10 cryptocurrencies are available. A specific search function allows finding only stocks and cryptos approved for the game.
  • Diversification Rule: To encourage diversification, the value of a single security at the time of purchase must not exceed 25% of the total portfolio value.
  • Portfolio Limit: A portfolio may contain a maximum of 20 different securities at the same time.
  • Trading Conditions: Trades are executed almost in real-time, based on slightly delayed prices. To ensure fair conditions for all participants, the following restrictions apply:
    • Trades are only possible during respective stock exchange opening hours.
    • The price displayed in yeekatee for a security must not be older than 45 minutes.
    • Intraday trading, i.e., buying and selling the same security on the same day, is not allowed.
    • A maximum of 25 trades per day is allowed.
  • Daily Quiz Bonus: Players engaging with a daily investment-related quiz question can earn Game Rewards on a dedicated portfolio position. The starting balance of the Game Reward position is 100, each valued at CHF 10. Correct answers grant 10 Game Rewards, reflecting a portfolio TWR boost of approximately 0.1%. Wrong answers grant 5 Game Rewards. Quiz questions are always answerable, but Game Rewards are awarded only for answers on the publication day.
  • Return Calculation: The Time-Weighted Return (TWR) is calculated in yeekatee as a time-weighted percentage return in Swiss Francs, based on daily returns linked geometrically over the entire Game Period. Any dividends are included in the return calculation.

8. Game Changes

yeekatee reserves the right to change the game rules at any time, to shorten, modify, or cancel the game. Changes to the rules will be announced on the website and are effective immediately.

9. Disqualification from the Game

  • Non-compliance with the participation terms or game rules leads to disqualification from the game.
  • yeekatee has the right to disqualify any person whose behavior does not align with the spirit of the game at any time and without prior notice. No justification is required for such disqualification.
  • Disqualification immediately nullifies any rights to participate and claim winnings.
  • The organizer reserves the right to limit or block further participation once maximum game capacities are reached.

10. Data Privacy and Security

We prioritize your privacy and the security of your information. Participation in the stock market game involves the collection and use of your personal data strictly for game management and communication purposes, in compliance with our Privacy Policy. We employ stringent security measures to protect your data and do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes. 11. Liability Disclaimer

  • yeekatee is not liable for lost registrations, and proof of transmission is not accepted as proof.
  • Liability for indirect, consequential damages or lost profits is excluded to the extent legally permissible.
  • Events beyond yeekatee’s control, such as technical issues, specific market events, or force majeure, may prevent the game or awarding of the prize money. yeekatee may at its discretion change or supplement the game, prizes, or these conditions, and participants agree that the organizer cannot be held liable for this.
  • yeekatee is not liable for incorrect, delayed, or impaired stock market data and capital measures.
  • The game is for educational and entertainment purposes and should not be considered financial advice.

Legal recourse is excluded.
